Writer’s block isn’t real. It’s just your brain staging a rebellion because you’ve been feeding it caffeine and existential dread instead of sleep. Here’s how to outsmart it:

1. Dump Your Brain First
Set a 15-minute timer and channel your inner chaos. Write raw, unfiltered thoughts about anything—traffic rage, your weird fascination with staplers, that passive-aggressive email you’ll never send. Let it be unapologetically bad. Editing is for people who’ve had their coffee; you’re still in the “caveperson discovering fire” phase. The delete key is your editor’s problem later.

2. Scream Internally, Then Move
Stuck? Stand up. Walk away. Pet the dog. Stare at the wall. Then return to your desk. Procrastinating for three days won’t magically turn you into Hemingway. (Pro tip: He was drunk most of the time anyway.)

3. Write with a Crayon
If typing feels like a chore, switch tools. Grab a gel pen, a napkin, or a voice memo app. Bonus points if you write in Comic Sans—it’s scientifically proven to lower your standards to “functional.”

4. Lower Your Standards
Your first draft isn’t a Pulitzer contender; it’s a raccoon digging through trash. Let it be messy. Perfectionism is just fear wearing a monocle.

5. Steal Ideas Like a Pirate
Stuck on plot? Read a book you love. Copy the structure. Swap dragons for lawyers or whatever. Originality is overrated. (Shakespeare “borrowed” all his plots. You’re in good company.)

6. Weaponize Sarcasm
If your dialogue feels flat, add snark. Example: “Wow, your plan is genius,” she said, staring at the spreadsheet that just crashed Excel. Sarcasm masks weak prose better than a TikTok filter.

Bottom line: Writing isn’t a mystical talent—it’s a grind. Stop romanticizing it. Sit down, type words, and let the cringe flow. You can fix bad writing. You can’t fix a blank page. Now go annoy your keyboard. ✨
