Kyla Pruitt (born and raised in Joliet, Illinois) is a motivated professional in the legal field (in Jacksonville, Florida). She has a B.S. in Criminal Justice (Florida University, 2008), an M.S. in
Corporate Organizational Communication (Northeastern University, 2009), and is currently working on her Ph.D. in Law and Public Policy (2016). The stereotype of a rather humorless, dull, legal professional however, does not apply to Kyla. While she is dedicated to her work and academia. she uses her warmth and compassion together with her astounding knowledge and expertise, not only in her work, but also when fighting for, and advocating for the causes she believes in; both in her personal life as well as in her professional life.
Kyla’s work as a Certified Life Coach (2015), as well as her personal life experiences, have made her an understanding, non-judgmental professional, who is able to empathize, as well as find creative, effective solutions to a wide range of personal as well as legal dilemmas. Being a youth leader, mentor, and the mother of two wonderful kids, she is able to understand the difficulties of growing up in different circumstances and the need to have a solid support system. It has been a long, treacherous road to success for Kyla, however her personal experiences as well as her academic triumphs, have made her a source of wisdom, comfort, support and inspiration to many people from various walks of life.
It’s Kyla’s passion and goal to inspire and empower both men and women of all cultures and backgrounds to build themselves up for their future successes – whether this success is professional, legal, or in their personal lives. Through her legal work, blogs and now her newest accomplishment, a self-help book (15 Ways to Improve Your Reality), Kyla has been able to achieve her personal goals of encouraging growth and development in her community and aims to be an asset on a national level one day to help countless people overcome difficult barriers in their lives.
Some of Kyla’s hobbies are going to the beach, getting involved in her community, and creative writing. She is a church leader and a passionate debater about the law in regards to laws and policies.
