As a mathematics educator for over 22 years, Sandra is dedicated to actively engaging K – 12 mathematics teachers in quality professional development.
What makes her professional development services different?
I focus on the “whole” teacher by building relationships in addition to addressing professional needs. I create a safe, risk free environment that supports teachers as they begin to internalize and implement their new learning.
Building relationships, providing support and engaging in reflection are essential tools I use to create sustainable changes in teacher practice. I bring a wealth of knowledge from my experiences serving the South Carolina Department of Education as a Mathematics Specialist, Lead Person of the Common Core Mathematics Adoption Process, Lead Person of the K – 8 SC Mathematics Standards Support Document revisions, a member of the K – 12 SC standards writing committee and as an item reviewer for the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortia. – Sandra Goff
